The jar that we package our delicious, raw honey in is called the Muth jar. It is a square jar that was invented in the early 1800,s and was typically used for pickles and horseradish. We read where many people who used the jar had their names embossed on it. However, it is now called the Muth jar, because a man by the name of Charles Muth redesigned the jar to be used just for selling honey. He did this by adding a skep design as well as the words one-pound pure honey. The honey jar is also available in eight oz. and four oz. sizes. These jars make great keepsakes.
